October 24: The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), in conjunction with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, the U.S. Department of State , and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will host a half-day symposium on investment strategies and opportunities in Japan. Past Events
May 16 – 18: Chamber Vice President Myron Brilliant visited Tokyo for discussions with the Keidanren, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ). Issues covered in the meetings included intellectual property rights enforcement, and the WTO Doha Round of trade negotiations.
May 2: The Japan team held a briefing with U.S. administration officials and Chamber members on Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to Washington
April 1-3: U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Thomas J. Donohue, traveled to Japan to meet with Japanese government officials and business executives and Chamber members to discuss the business and investment climate in Japan, the WTO Doha Round, alternative energy and climate change, and intellectual property rights protection. Donohue met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and METI Minister Akira Amari among others.
March 6: The U.S. Chamber and the Keidanren hosted an installment of the U.S.-Japan Business Dialogue – a forum for senior U.S. and Japanese business representatives to come together to discuss timely topics relating to U.S.-Japan relations and the broader Asia-Pacific region – at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
