David Hirschmann
David Hirschmann is senior vice president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and executive vice president of the National Chamber Foundation (NCF). NCF is responsible for driving the policy debate on key issues by formulating arguments, developing options, and influencing thinking to move the American business agenda forward. Hirschmann oversees Chamber initiatives ranging from strengthening capital markets to fighting intellectual property theft.
Hirschmann is also president of the U.S. Chamber Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC). In this capacity, he leads the Chamber’s initiative dedicated to making U.S. capital markets the most fair, efficient, transparent, and attractive in the world. This effort addresses domestic and international securities regulation, as well as challenges to the auditing profession, proxy rules, business due process, and a host of other issues.
