Chamber Promotes Linda Schoumacher Rozett
to Lead All Chamber Communications

WASHINGTON, D.C.—United States Chamber of Commerce President and CEO
Thomas J. Donohue today announced the promotion of Linda Schoumacher Rozett from Vice President of Media Relations to Vice President of Communications.

“Linda is stepping into a big role in aligning the Chamber’s internal and external communications and messages,” said Donohue.  “She has played an important role in advancing the organization’s priorities to help the bottom lines of America’s businesses.”

Prior to joining the Chamber in September 1999, Rozett worked for two national energy trade associations: first for the Edison Electric Institute and then for the Natural Gas Supply Association.

Rozett began her career with ABC News as a broadcast journalist and held a number of senior producer positions, one as a field producer in ABC’s Chicago bureau for World News Tonight and another as the Washington, D.C., editorial producer for Good Morning America (News).  Rozett has a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia in English.

In her new position, Rozett will oversee all communications.  She will continue to oversee the Chamber’s outreach with the national media and will also manage the group’s corporate communications including its Web site; uschamber.com, the organization’s flagship print publication; and the Chairman’s Program.

“Linda has a proven track record and has earned this significant promotion through her hard work and expertise,” Donohue said.  “We have seen great things from her and we expect even greater things to help advance our central mission—to keep the spirit of enterprise alive and flourishing.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector, and region.
