Denny’s Parish Elected to U.S. Chamber Board

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The United States Chamber of Commerce elected Denny’s Corporation Executive Vice President Rhonda J. Parish to its board of directors.

“The Chamber congratulates Rhonda on this new appointment.  Her involvement will help advance the Chamber’s pro-business policies as well as promote free enterprise,” said Thomas Donohue, Chamber president and CEO.

In addition to serving as executive vice president of Denny’s Corporation, Parish also serves as chief administrative officer, chief human resources officer, general counsel, and corporate secretary.  Denny’s is America’s largest full-service family restaurant chain, operating more than 1,500 company and franchise restaurants.

Prior to joining Denny’s, Parish was assistant general counsel at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. She was responsible for a wide range of legal activities during her 11-year tenure when the company grew from 300 to more than 2,000 stores.  Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Parish was in private law practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Parish received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Arkansas and a law degree from the University of Arkansas.

“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is an important voice in the public dialogue about issues that are critical to businesses and the economy,” said Parish. “It is an honor to serve on this board.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations of every size, sector, and regions.
