More Than 200,000 Small Businesses Gain Chamber Membership Through Its Federation Partnership

WASHINGTON, DC-More than 200,000 small businesses across the country now receive U.S. Chamber membership through Federation Partnership, a program that allows small businesses in good standing with their local chamber and/or association to receive the benefits of U.S. Chamber membership.

"This unique partnership builds on our broad base of grassroots support," said J.P. Moery, CAE, senior vice president for Federation Relations. "As a result, participating small businesses find their interests are now protected by two effective organizations: one at home and one in Washington, DC."

Federation Partnership benefits include access to "member-only" sections of the U.S. Chamber's online small business center, discounts on a range of popular products and services, the U. S. Chamber's weekly e-newsletter, and action alerts regarding pressing legislative and policy initiatives.

Federation Partnership is available to chambers in select areas of the country and to specific industry associations. The program is expected to expand into new areas, bringing the year-end total to 250,000 small businesses. Interested parties can call 202-463-5859 to find out if their organization qualifies for federation membership.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organization of every size, sector and region.
